I have been very fortunate to have spent three years at Steel United. I was lucky enough to have made my way to Steel, despite not knowing anything about the club prior to my move to Whyalla.

Throughout my three years in Whyalla, I have felt incredibly welcomed by players, supporters, and the many volunteers who regularly attend Steel games and functions. Moving four hours away from home, and being only 22 at the time of my move, the people at Steel ensured I felt a part of both the club, but also the Whyalla community as well, and really supported me in getting settled into the area.

There are some great people around Whyalla soccer, and I have no doubt that most of these great people are at Steel. It is a fantastic club, and one which has made it difficult in making my decision to leave Whyalla, having welcomed and supported me for the past three years.
